The Muskets traveled to Plymouth on September 2nd to take on the Exeter Spitfires in the SWBL 2018 Championship game. It was a great day for baseball in the South West as the Plymouth Mariners hosted proceedings to celebrate their tenth anniversary. In what was a very close game, dominated by superb pitching from both teams, ended in an Exeter victory, giving them their first championship win in club history. Unfortunately for the Muskets it was not their day, struggling to find a good rhythm at the plate and a few costly errors in the field mean the team will need to regroup to challenge again for next season. Keep your eyes peeled for news on winter training and updates on our new field for 2019.
